After nearly 25 years in the travel industry, I have sent clients to nearly every corner of the globe, but in the last five years, my niche has really become personalized travel itineraries throughout Europe. I love the intense detail required for an amazing European vacation. I also have a special interest in group travel and Latin/Central America. 

I prefer to offer my clients the time they need to be comfortable and happy with their travel investments and I promise to plan your trip as if it were my own. I cover all aspects of your trip, including your itinerary once you’ve reached your destination and want you to be as involved in the planning process as you want to be: whether that means you take a totally hands off approach and I plan it all, or if you want to do your own research and make suggestions: I am flexible!

Italy and Greece Specialist

The destinations I get the most excited about are Italy and Greece. I LOVE Italy and Greece. 

While it may not be a large country (compared to the United States), even 10 days in Italy isn’t going to be enough time to see everything you want to. I often compare Italy to Disney World - you’re going to go the first time and love it so much that you’ll have to keep going back.

I like to send first-time Italian travelers to the three largest cities - Rome, Florence, and Venice. Start in Rome and see the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Sistine Chapel, Vatican City (technically its own country!), the Pantheon, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Driving in Italy is rather easy, so when you’ve had your fill of Rome, gas up the car (or take the train) to Florence, take in Tuscany, and go over to Venice, the famous canal city. In northern Italy, pop in and out of Milan, Lake Como, and Cinque Terre, a place known for its food, sweeping Mediterranean views, and hiking opportunities.  

Day trip to Piza or extend your trip and enjoy the popular southern Amalfi Coast, a rugged coastline decorated with fishing villages.  The island of Sicily is also becoming popular and is such a historic island, there’s nary a culture that hasn’t had some kind of influence there. 

Many clients find themselves on-the-go in Italy with so many things to do and explore, so if you’re looking to slow things down, I recommend Greece. Start in Athens and see the Acropolis, then ferry or hop a quick flight to the islands of Mykonos or Santorini and enjoy the glorious limestone buildings. Mykonos is known for its summer party atmosphere, and what better way to celebrate your vacation!  The only downside to Greece is that your travel window is more limited from April to September, as  it gets colder and windier in the wintertime, so many tourist spots shut down by October.
