The phrase “loyal to Royal (Caribbean Cruises)” floats around our Memphis office, and in November 2022, I got to experience it for myself, and now I know why!
My husband and I chose a four-night cruise from Texas to Cozumel, Mexico. While our time on land in Mexico was wonderful, it was the experience aboard the Allure of the Seas that truly made our trip memorable.
From the time we got off the shuttle in Galveston, Texas to being aboard the ship was an impressive 20 minutes! Same efficient check-in process coming back from shore excursions. Everything was so stress-free and relaxed, exactly what you want on vacation.
The beaches of Cozumel were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our scuba diving excursion.
Truly a floating city, we had to choose our on-board activities carefully, as there were just so many. We opted for exploring the Boardwalk and Central Park. We saw a Journey tribute band and caught a performance of Mamma Mia, the musical.
Royal Caribbean is top-notch. From first boarding to final departure, we were never in need of anything. There was a phone app to check the status of our cruise, book shore excursions, and check in/out. The food - especially at the Windjammer restaurant aboard was incredible. What really made our trip was our top-notch room steward, Andy. I wanted to take him home with me!
If you’re hesitant about a cruise, or trying a new cruise line, don’t be! This was my first cruise and truly one of the most amazing experiences ever.
